In 2025, Socials with KL, a Surrey-based marketing consultancy founded and led by Kirsty Lavell, made a deliberate commitment to give back to the local community and support charities working with children and families during difficult times.
While Socials with KL is best known for helping businesses build strong, professional brands through thoughtful strategy and considered creative, this year marked an important moment to focus beyond marketing and turn long-held values into meaningful action.
Community, care, and responsibility have always been central to how we operate. In 2025, that belief took shape through a dedicated toy donation initiative designed to bring comfort and joy to children and families who need it most.
Speaking on the initiative, Kirsty Lavell shared:
“Having faced my own health challenges over the years, I’ve experienced first-hand the strength and kindness that can come from community support. It felt only right to give something back to the people, families, and organisations who provide care and comfort during life’s most challenging moments.”
With the generous support of clients, friends, and local businesses, the initiative raised and donated £2,300 worth of brand-new toys to underprivileged families, children in need, and young patients receiving hospital care.
The donations were distributed to the following organisations across Surrey and London:
Stripey Stork
Epsom Hospital
St George’s Hospital
St Helier Hospital
East Surrey Hospital
Ronald McDonald House
Each organisation plays a vital role in supporting children and families at times when compassion and care matter most.
Dulcie Newbold from St George’s Hospital shared the following message of thanks:
“On behalf of everyone at St George’s Hospital, I wanted to extend our heartfelt thanks for your incredibly generous donation of children’s toys. Your thoughtful contribution will bring so much joy to our young patients and their families during difficult times. It’s kindness like yours that helps create a warmer, more supportive environment for everyone at St George’s, and we are so grateful for your support. We would also like to thank everyone involved in making this donation possible. It’s truly heartwarming to see the community come together in this way.”
Messages like this reinforce why community-led initiatives matter and why businesses have a role to play beyond their day to day work.
This initiative would not have been possible without the generosity and support of the following businesses and individuals:
Jackson Wardrobes
2DRJ Barristers
Surrey Carpet & Flooring
Tadworth Mobile Tyres
Arcura
Innovation Fire Engineering
Aquapups Swimming School
Karl Chambers Painting Services
Hartsfield Manor
Socials with KL
Seeing local businesses come together for a shared purpose has been both inspiring and deeply appreciated.
Giving back is now a core part of our mission at Socials with KL. We are committed to continuing our support of local charities and community initiatives throughout 2026 and beyond, wherever we can make a meaningful difference.
We hope these gifts bring comfort, smiles, and moments of joy to the children and families receiving them.
